FUNCIONAMIENTO
La Biblioteca Comunitaria Anacaona contiene una
diversidad de colecciones (infantiles, juveniles,
adultos) en una variedad de idiomas y formatos
(libros y audiovisuales).
Sus servicios son gratuitos y se sostienen en base a
las contribuciones y donaciones de la comunidad.
Menores de 12 años deber ir acompañados de un
adulto. Los libros están disponibles sólo para leer
en la biblioteca hasta nuevo aviso.
HORARIO
Lunes a viernes, 10 am-12, 2-6 pm, sábados 10 am
-1 pm.
FACILIDADES
La biblioteca consiste de dos edificaciones: la zona
principal donde se encuentran los materiales y, la
otra, una terraza como sala de lectura y multiuso
(para eventos sociales y culturales). Fotos aquí.
VOLUNTARIOS
La biblioteca opera en base a la labor de voluntarios,
tanto jóvenes y señoritas como también adultos. Un
requisito básico es recibir entrenamiento en el
manejo del lugar y en hablar español mínimamente.
DONACIONES
Aceptamos donaciones de libros para todas las
edades, materiales diversos (impresos, folletines,
mapas, CDs, cassettes, videos), libros de textos,
computadoras, sillas, mesas, abanicos y material
gastable.
TALLERES
Se ofrecerán talleres sobre lectura, tanto para
padres como para maestros. Igualmente habrán
talleres sobre cómo leer a los niños, cómo usar
historias para el aprendizaje y sobre cómo utilizar
los servicios de la biblioteca para apoyo académico.

a number of people.
Children under 12 must attend accompanied by a
parent. Until further notice books are only available
for use within the premises.

and a larger thatched area used as reading room
