Our greatest need: to own a suitable building for
office, library, classroom, arts center, information
technology center and related programs.
Biblioteca Comunitaria Anacaona (library)

Increase the collections to 10,000 books by 2010.
Create a Dominican Authors Collection, a K-12
Textbooks Collection and a University Resources
Center.
Double the books in the Reference section.
Establish a Multicultural Learning Center, geared
toward creating a global outlook, promoting ethnic
identity and intercultural knowledge and skills.
Integrate a Montessori Educational Center.
Internet access and computer-based learning.

A center with at least 20 computers .
Workshops and training in the use of the internet,
word processing and related technical areas.

Arts and Crafts Center, go here.

Promoting artistic development.
Offering music and musical instrument classes.
Theater, dance and fine arts opportunities.

Eliminate illiteracy by the year 2010.
Capacitate local people and prepare leaders at the
barrio level to participate..

Las Terrenas Reverde (more here)

Promoting the preservation of the environment.
Promoting recycling and composting.
Helping establish family and community gardens.
Training center for teachers, so as to help embed a
green content in the K-12 curriculum.
Create a directory of "green" businesses and
organizations.

Recreational Calendar (camps and workshops)

Keep a permanent calendar of activities that would
include recreational, social, sports, cultural, crafts,
and family programs.
All year long with trained personnel.

Children's Band by means of musical instrument
teaching.
Community Information Clearinghouse
Create and operate an online and in-site bulletin board
and directory for events and organizations in the
