VISION
En los próximos cinco años convertirnos en una organización de
desarrollo comunitario de referencia a nivel local, regional y
nacional.
Para llegar ahi ofreceremos a individuos, grupos y organizaciones
los conocimientos, destrezas y recursos ya comprobados como
promotores efectivos del desarrollo personal, vocacional,
educativo, cívico, en liderazgo y en lo global/multicultural.
Utilizaremos centros operacionales, programas y proyectos con
una variedad de talleres, seminarios, cursos, consultorías
grupales o individualizadas, programas de radio, de TV,
publicaciones impresas y virtuales (internet) y cualquier otro medio
a nuestro alcance.
Valores
Como organización centrada en valores esenciales, nuestra visión
se sustenta sobre ciertos principios sociales, culturales y
organizativos. Los más esenciales se describen a continuación:
Participatoria: actuamos con la gente, no para la gente, de tal
manera que los beneficiarios son entes activos y no meros
recipientes de nuestras acciones, transformando sus propios
entornos y mejorando su propio destino.
Egalitaria: creemos en la igualdad entre los seres humanos,
valorando la dignidad que se origina en una humanidad
compartida, sin importar clases socio-económicas, etnias, colores
de piel, géneros, niveles educativos, nacionalidades, idiomas,
discapacidades físicas, edades, como tampoco orientaciones
sexuales, políticas o religiosas.
Sostenible: preferimos intervenciones de carácter sostenible,
"enseñar a pescar" en lugar de dar un pez, mientras reconocemos
que hay necesidades de corto y de largo plazo y que cada una
merece una atención distinta.
Reflexiva: hay que pausar, pausar y pausar, tratar de ver más allá
de lo obvio y de lo sensorial, para descubrir las raíces de las
causas y de los eventos, para poder ayudar a transformar nuestros
entornos en la misma manera en que nos transformamos a
nosotros mismos.
Creativa: creemos en inteligencias múltiples, en el balance
adecuado de lo cognitivo, lo afectivo y lo socio-motor; reconociendo
que hombres y mujeres, adolescentes y menores, analfabetos y
letrados, artistas y técnicos, poseen aspectos esenciales del
conocimiento necesario; y que, para llegar a la meta, es necesario
buscar muchas ideas, hacer muchos intentos y experimentar con
varias alternativas.
Auténtica: la gente va primero y para trabajar con la gente es
necesario ser honestos, íntegros y sinceros.
Aprendizaje constante: prometemos regenerarnos a diario,
creciendo cada día en nuestro conocimiento de la realidad que nos
rodea y respondiendo con inteligencia al influjo del cambio
constante y permanente.
